On January 22, many of the Itasca Area afterschool programs will participate in a quality improvement planning day.

The process is called M3 — Making Meaning from Multiple Data sets.

Jan Derdowski and Courtney Johnson will lead participants through a process to identify changes they can make so that their programs are more effective serving young people.M3 Data Buckets

Program teams are asked to bring four different types of data to the planning session:

  • Quality Practices
  • Attendance/Participation
  • Youth Outcomes
  • Program Experiences

According to Jan, program providers should come with whatever data they are already collecting.  “Don’t worry if you don’t have all four pieces of data collected…come with what you have and we will make it work!”

The session is January 22 from 9:00 to 3:00 at the Blandin Foundation.  RSVP here if you plan to attend.
